Advertise with ReDIY on all the major Real Estate Sites.
We are ReDIY, Real Estate Do It Yourself, for Private Sellers to Do It Yourself. The main issue has been, when selling privately is the access to the major sites. There are sites that only Real Estate Agents can access. This is because the Agencies are contracted and pay a monthly subscription as well as the cost for the upgrade listings. Agencies can justify the costs, as they have volume and they also mostly pass the costs on to their client. So ReDIY has solved the problem.
Advertising on Realestate and Domain with ReDIY.
Realestate is one of these sites that only allow access to Licensed Real Estate Agencies. However, they are Australia's Number 1 site which makes it the most visited site by buyers. Logically, this is the first site that you would need to have access to, to find the right buyer in the shortest amount of time.ReDIY is a subscriber to Realestate and a Realestate approved uploader. This is how we can give you access and let you do the rest yourself.
Domain permits private sellers to directly advertise, but at a high cost. Their charges are $660 for eight weeks or $770 for 12 weeks - for this site only.ReDIY gives you access to 9 sites, including Realestate and Domain for less than half that and no time limit - Until sold.
ReDIY is easy to use and a very cost effective way of selling privately.

Private Sellers, receiving enquiries from online Real Estate advertising with ReDIY.
Because of the policies of these sites - not allowing Private Sellers to directly advertise - the advertisement is not allowed to have your contact details displayed. The enquiries come to us. We will send you an email with all the details as the enquiries are received. But that is not all. All enquiries will be entered into your dashboard on our site. This makes it easy for you to access, on the run, on your mobile. All the enquiries are in one place. No chance of losing the details as you will have them in your dashboard and in your email. Once you ave made the initial contact with the enquiry, you can then deal directly with them.
ReDIY supports DIY Sellers.
We have a chat function on our web site. You can chat directly with us from 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. You can also reach us by phone or email. The chat function is available to you to chat directly with the enquiry. Simply let them know that they only need to sign up on our site (No Cost) and then they can chat directly to you. This will be a convenient way of organising an inspection time. They can even submit an offer to you, through the dashboard and you can negotiate with them. Any documents that they may request can be uploaded to our site, for them to access.
Private Sellers DIY inspections.
You can set an "Open for Inspection" time and have potential buyers come along. There are pros and cons to this method. No one may show up. You do not know if the ones who do arrive are buyers or lookers. A genuine buyer may not be able to make the set open time. If you advertise your Open without an address, they will have to submit an enquiry first. This will give you an opportunity to have a chat with them to see if they are ready to buy now and if they will attend. If you choose to advertise you open with an address, perhaps 2 or 3 opens a week will give genuine buyers an option to suit their schedule. Saturday or Sunday afternoons and weekday evenings are good options. There is less rush, all decision-makers can attend and the times will not conflict with the majority of opens in your area. If you are lucky enough to have quite a few groups attend the open, you have limited opportunities to speak with them and answer any questions.
The alternative to an "Open House" is a private inspection, organised with the one potential buyer group, at a time that suits both you and the buyer/s. Again, you will have the opportunity to ascertain whether they are genuine buyers. It also gives you an opportunity to be on hand to answer any questions they may have during the inspection. You can always do a combination of both methods.
Determining the price requires Private Sellers to conduct research.
Your options are: an asking price, no price, price range or offers above. If no price is displayed in the advertisement, you are still required to enter a price range in the back end. It is not visible but it allows buyers to search properties within a price range. Before you decide which method to use, research the area. Go on Realestate and Domain and look up recent sales in your area. Also, check out what is currently for sale in the area. Weigh up the features, compared to your property. This will give you a good indication of the likely selling price.
DIY Real Estate Sellers research the legislation.
Conduct research in relation to the legislation requirements and conveyancing. The sites of The State Government site and the Real Estate Institute for your state have lots of useful information. There are legislative requirements, prior to advertising, that you need to be aware of. The contract and conveyance of the transaction can be done by you or by a Solicitor or Conveyancing Company. It is an important transaction with a great deal of legal issues. This is an area that may not be in your best interests to DIY.
Don't Worry, Be Happy, Sell Privately, No commission with ReDIY.
Selling your property privately can be an enjoyable and money-saving experience, especially when selling a block of land privately. Why do you need an Agent? They are not required to conduct inspections for a vacant block of land, so it makes sense, no Agent, no commission.
The important thing is to do your research. Make sure you are fully aware of the legal requirements and price the property within a range of the current market value.
Happy DIY Selling from ReDIY.
